Thank you for your interest in the Integrated Preschool Program at the John F. Kennedy School.
Randolph Public Schools offers a Preschool Program for children between the ages of three and five years who have been identified as having disabilities, or special needs.
Some of the classrooms are Integrated Preschool classrooms, each of which features an environment where children discover, create, and learn based on the Common Core Standards approved for Preschool by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Although primarily provided to serve children with special needs, the Integrated Preschool Program features a comprehensive, language-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum designed to meet the needs of a variety of learners. In those classrooms, typically developing children from the community are invited to join us as Peer Partners to work, talk, and play alongside children with special needs. This partnership enhances the social and language development of all.
The schedule for the Integrated Preschool is as follows:
AM: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday start: 8:20 dismissal: 10:50
PM: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday start: 11:50 dismissal: 2:20
Classes run from September through June, following the same schedule as the town’s Kindergartens. Tuition for the Integrated Preschool has been set at $200.00 per month for the10-month program. There is no transportation provided.
In order to qualify as a Peer Partner, a child must take part in an informal screening. Age, class size, and gender balance are taken into consideration as new students are admitted. Screenings are held throughout the school year as classroom openings become available.
